Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Suburban- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster Baseplate for towed vehicles on a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. Now this is what our baseplate looks like when it's installed and the great part about this one is it replaces your factory tow hook so there's really no trimming or just minor trimming necessary to get this in place. So it retains a nice OEM look and since you are taking off your tow hook you still have your safety chain loop here it can act as a tow hook when normally driving your vehicle. Now overall I really like the clean look of the baseplate and it's a relatively easy installation. Now one thing you will have to keep in mind is mounting up the rest of your flat tow components including this one has an air brake system for its RV, your diode wiring as well as your braking system. Mounting those up can get a little bit tricky but I used our license plate bracket here and got a little bit creative for a nice clean look. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster base plate for a flat towed vehicle on a 2022 Chevrolet Spark. Your base plate is going to be the attachment point for your main components on a flat towed vehicle. And the Roadmaster ones do a really good job of securely mounting up to the frame of the vehicle, creating a good, solid mounting point for your tow bar and your safety chain loops. There's even a mounting bracket for your supplemental braking system as well as one for your diode wiring, so it really has all the features set up for you to be able to hook it up. Now, the great part about this one is the fact that it has these removable arms. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster base plate for flat towing on a 2018 Mini Cooper. Now there's normally five main components that are required for flat towing your vehicle, and we'll start on the vehicle side. The first one's gonna be the base plate and that's gonna be the attachment point to the solid portion of the frame or bumper beam of the vehicle. And that's where you have your removable arms here that attach to your towbar. So that's gonna be our second component, the towbar, which is gonna be the connection point between the base plate of the vehicle and the hitch on the RV. Now going along with that, our base plate does have these loops here for our safety chains. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2019 GMC Sierra 2500- Video

Hi there, GMC Owners today on your 2019 GMC Sierra 2,500 HD. We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox's base plate. You can hook any Blue Ox tow bar up to the arms here that go on the end of your base plate, and we'll go ahead and show you that real quick here. So we'll pull the pin out, slide that apart, and we can pull the end back there. This arm is removable so when you're not flat towing you can simply just pull the pin and twist it to slide that out of there. And when you're ready to flat toe it'll just insert and twist until it locks into place. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2016 Ford F-150- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Blue Ox base plate for a 2016 Ford F-150. Now this is what your base plate is gonna look like when it's installed, and overall this is a really clean system because it just replaces where those factory tow hooks were, and when not towing, you can simply pull your arms out and this is gonna give it an even cleaner look. Now this is what it's gonna look like when you're not flat towing, and even though you lose your factory tow hooks, it really doesn't matter that much because you can still use your safety chain loops here, from the base plate, as your tow hooks. And, overall, it sits pretty nice in just that pocket where those tow hooks we're so, as far as the fascia, the only trimming that you may or may not have to do is mounting up the rest of your components. It does come with a bracket to mount up your 6-pole. You may or may not have air brakes, as you can see, we have our air fitting here. more

Hi there, Jeep owners. Today on your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer's base plate. Here you can see our attachment points where we'll hook up our tow bar on each side and you can see that the base plate is gonna be completely hidden behind our fascia and it's just gonna poke out the holes where your tow hooks used to be if you had tow hooks. If not, they would poke out of the area that's just covered up where a to hook potentially could go. There is a bracket that's a universal bracket that you can choose wherever you want to install it on your vehicle for mounting up your electrical connector. And we decided to just put it right here in the middle for mounting up our electrical components, as well as our breakaway switch and braking system attachment. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Chevy Colorado, we're gonna be showing you how to install, the Roadmaster base plate kit with removable arms. But before we do that, we're gonna check this out and make sure that it's gonna work for you. So, before we jump right in and kinda start talking about the base plate, I figured it'd be useful just to kinda refresh yourselves and touch base on the main components that we're gonna need to plan tow our truck down the road, in the first place. There's gonna be a total of five main parts that you're gonna need. The first one is going to be the base plate and that's gonna provide us with a solid and reliable attachment point that way we can hook our tow bar up to it. more

Hi there, Chevy owners. Today in your 2020 Chevy Sonic, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Blue Ox's baseplate. There's five main components you're gonna need when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. You're going to need your tow bar, your baseplate, your diode wiring, your safety cables, and your supplemental braking system. And this is what our baseplate looks like when it's installed. Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit Installation - 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, We're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Demco tabless base plate kit here on a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So a base plate kit is just gonna be one of the many things that we need in order to successfully flat tow our Jeep here. Now what the base plate kit does is this serves as a permanent connection between the motor home and our vehicle. So this actually is going to attach to our tow bar and our tow bar is what connects to the motor home, so it's gonna serve as sort of a quick disconnect point so you can easily detach your motor home from your vehicle when you need to head into town. So this is what our base plate kit looks like when it's installed on the vehicle here and we don't have our tow bar hooked up. Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster front base plate on a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now, this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. You can see here there's a spot cut open for where the arms actually can go in, same with the safety chain loop. And the great part it actually comes with a nice bracket that utilizes the factory mounting points under here, and that's gonna allow you to get your breakaway switch and your diode wiring attached. Now it is gonna work with your factory lock guard. It's gonna take a little bit of cutting to obviously make it fit, but if you have the plastic or metal it doesn't matter, you can make it work. more

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video

Hello neighbors it's Brad here etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster baseplate on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. So this is what the baseplate's gonna look like installed and actually hooked up in its flat tow set up. So you can see that it's pretty nice and spaced out here, allowing everything to kind of have some space to work around and actually attach our safety chain loops are nice and far enough away, but easy to actually clasp onto. And all of our connections with this included bracket are really nice because it puts it at a nice even spot in the middle using factory hole locations. Now and not in use, you can go ahead, drop this out and then you can actually remove these arms just by pulling this twisting. more

Raodmaster MX Base Plates Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Silverado- Video

Hello Chevy owners. Today on your 2012 Chevy Silverado we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's base plate. Now, when you fly through your vehicle, there are five main components that you're gonna need when doing so. You'll need your base plate, which is the connection point for your tow bar and your vehicle, you'll need your tow bar, which is the component that connects your vehicle to your motorhome. Your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar, you'll need your diode wiring which takes all the lighting signals from your motorhome and transfers to the lights at the back of your vehicle so people know your intentions when going down the road, and your supplemental breaking system, which will apply the brakes in your vehicle when you hit them in your motorhome to help you come to a safe stop. Hi there, Jeep owners. Today in your 2007 Jeep Wrangler, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Direct-Connect Base Plate. Most of our components are gonna be hidden behind our bumper and the rock guard that's located here with just our attachments sticking out the front. We do have the arms currently inserted and this is what you'll use to hook to your motor home. These arms are removable. They're secured with a hitch pinning clip just a five inch pin. more
